Cahir Vet Clinic opened its doors in October 1992, initially as a solo venture, started by Folke Rohrssen (known locally as '“The German Vet”).

However, spurred by a growing demand for quality veterinary care, the practice expanded rapidly. By the early 2000s, we had evolved into a team of three skilled Veterinary Surgeons catering to both Large and Small animals.

In 2004, we extended our reach with the establishment of Clonmel Vet Clinic, on Davis Road. Originally a partnership, since 2011, it has seamlessly integrated into the fabric of the 'Cahir Vets' practice, ensuring continuity of care and excellence across Cahir, Clonmel and beyond.

Fast forward to 2024, and we've continued to thrive, now boasting a team of six experienced Vets, complemented by a dedicated staff of Nurses and Receptionists. Operating six days a week, our clinics provide accessible and reliable veterinary care to our community. For added peace of mind, we offer an emergency on-call service for clients after 6pm and on weekends.

Our commitment to delivering top-notch client services is evident in our recent investments; we've equipped both clinics with the latest state-of-the-art, in-house Laboratory machines for blood work-ups, as well as a human-style dental machine, large and small animal Ultrasound machines, Digital x-ray machine, and a Parasite count machine. These enhancements ensure that we can provide comprehensive and cutting-edge care to every patient who walks through our doors.
